To contact Message in a Bottle you can send an email to @historicalsailingitaly.com (english language), or @velalternativa.it (italian speakers).
You can book your tour by email; on booking a tour you will accept automatically the following terms, which are valid for all offered activities. Besides, for the "Archaeotour" you will accept also the additional terms, that you can find at the bottom of this page.

Payment

On booking your tour you must deposit the 50% of the price on the bank account n° IT23 T07601 03200 0000 6089 7089 and then you must settle the whole price by 15 days before embarking.

Cancellation:

• in case of renunciation up to 15 days before embarking we will refund the 20% of your advance

• in case of renunciation up to 7 days before embarking we will refund the 40% of the whole price

• in case of renunciation during the last week before embarking we will refund the 30% of the whole price

• in case of interruption of the trip because of special problems of the schooner or the enterprise, Message in a Bottle will refund the costs of the days not effected plus 20% more

• if the organization Message in a Bottle stops off the cruise on force majeure before the embarkation, we'll refund the paid amount

• if weather and sea conditions are not favourable to the normal course of the cruise, there will not be any refund.

Being the head office of Message in a Bottle in Rome, it will be applied the Italian law in force.

Equipment

• We recommend the travellers to bring on their own a pullover, a wool hat and a windcheater.

• Small luggage like a travelling bag or sack to make easier the stowage.

• Trainers or shipping shoes.

• Flippers, diving mask and mouthpiece for diving.

Employment of the boat and the premises

• It's for the Captain to decide about the use of rigging and sails, the use of the engine, the instruments of communication and the safety devices and to decide about possible changes in the cruise's programme;

• We urge travellers to keep their own cabin and toilets clean and tidy.

• It is forbidden to smoke in the cabin.

• For the cruises "Archaeotour", "Sailing courses" and "Do it yourself": we recommend the travellers to cooperate to prepare meals, to lay the table and to tidy up the common spaces.

General terms to participate in the "Archaeotour 2010"

• To make easier the organization on board, travellers can also embark in the evening before the beginning of the cruise.

• Because of the unpredictability of weather conditions, sometimes cannot guarantee precisely the dates and the ports of embarkation. So they must be confirmed by calling the number .

• Sites and resorts that we mentioned on the programme are an outline. The programme has been planned according to ideal weather and sea conditions. Anyway, the crew will fully try to comply with the plan.

• Activities on the schooner will be possible only if there will be five travellers minimum.

• The cruises and the embarkations will begin on the prearranged dates both for short cruises and for weekly ones; while the calls will be at the ports of embarkation when possible.
